A guided video inspection. A signed, endorsed document. No on-site visit by the engineer.
What is inspected?
Accessible spaces and elements are visually reviewed to identify potential asbestos-containing materials.
On a video call, the engineer explains which areas to show and how to complete the assessment. No on-site visit by the engineer is needed.
What if asbestos is found?
Finding asbestos does not automatically mean you cannot sell or rent the property. The certificate describes its visible presence, location, condition and potential risk.
If a material requires additional action, we will explain the next steps.
Are samples needed?
Not generally. The certificate is based on a visual inspection of accessible elements. If an additional check is needed, we will explain it before proceeding.
What is asbestos?
A group of fibrous minerals used for decades in construction products for their strength and insulating properties.
It may be found in older fibre cement products, roofs, downpipes, tanks, ducts and other building elements.
